The Liberal Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell has once again sought the release of the amended Goulburn Valley Health Master Plan, calling on the Andrews Labor Government to commit funding for State 2 of the hospital redevelopment.
Speaking in an adjournment debate to the Minister for Health Jenny Mikakos in State Parliament last week, Ms Lovell highlighted the importance of the Master Plan and funding to ensure the progress of stage 2 of the redevelopment of the hospital.
A review of the 2015 GV Health Master Plan was due to be finalised in June 2018 yet remains with the Department of Health and away from public scrutiny.
Ms Lovell questioned why the Master Plan had still not been released and called on Ms Mikakos to provide certainty for the Goulburn Valley community by committing funding for stage 2 of the redevelopment.
Comments attributable to Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell:
“The completion of the second stage of the GV Health redevelopment is vital to ensure the people of the Goulburn Valley are not left with half a hospital.
“The Minister needs to release the revised Master Plan and provide certainty for the Goulburn Valley community by committing funding for Stage 2 of the GV Health redevelopment.”
