The Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell is encouraging sport and recreation clubs throughout her electorate to apply for grants through the Together More Active program, to encourage more people to get active and participate in local sport.
Sport and recreation is part of the fabric in the lives of regional Victorians and the Together More Active program is designed to create opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to realise their sporting dreams through local sporting and recreation clubs.
Clubs successful in obtaining funding will demonstrate a desire to provide an environment built on inclusiveness that will assist people of all abilities to participate. The Together More Active program will boost participation in local sport and recreation clubs for women and girls, people with disability, LGBTI people, Indigenous Victorians and new arrivals.
For more information, sporting and recreation clubs throughout Northern Victoria are encouraged to visit www.sport.vic.gov.au
